Delivery Assurance

delivery assured accreditation

The BritORA code of conduct when it comes to delivery and order fulfillment is demonstrated by our members using the 'Delivery Assurance' accreditation. This kite mark is available to any UK based E-Retailer that signs up to our code of practice. This easily recognisable logo is used on your website to tell your customers that you adhere to a best practice delivery code and your shoppers can link back to BritORA to confirm the authenticity of this mark at the click of a mouse.

The Delivery Assurance logo from BritORA was created by BritORA members to differentiate their online businesses from less reputable companies. All Online businesses that show the logo adhere to the following principles:

1: Comprehensive delivery information is available to all customers before they place their order

2: A convenient and reliable delivery service is used that is appropriate to the product in question

3: The Customer is notified of any delivery limitations or conditions as soon as is reasonable

4: Delivery fees are easy to understand with no hidden extras

5: Customers have access to information on the progress of any order through an online system or non premium rate UK telephone number

6: Delivery of goods or services within an agreed time frame in the vast majority of circumstances

7: Helpful support is available when things go wrong

8: Goods and services are well packed and arrive in good condition

9: A clear returns process is detailed in writing on the company website detailing all limitations and conditions

Any business displaying the BritORA 'Delivery Assurance' logo adheres to each of the above requirements. BritORA operates a peer review process where we ask companies who are unlikely to be in competition to review those that display the logo. Should a peer Review recommend that the company in question not display the Delivery Assurance logo, or should BritORA receive a sequence of related complaints from customers, the company in question will be referred to our Membership Accreditations Review Panel who will assess the request and make recommendations to the company in question. This assessment process takes no more than 1 month and the decision of the Membership Accreditations Review Panel is final.
